Banihal, Aug 25: The 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway, the only all-weather road linking Kashmir with the rest of the country, is closed since last night
overnight rains triggered a heavy landslide at Ramsoo which left scores of vehicles stranded on both sides.
A road-clearance operation was launched and efforts were on to restore the road .
SSP traffic said the highway may be cleared for traffic by the evening but he said nothing cant be said with certainity as landslides can take place anytime
