JAIPUR: Indian fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat and mystery spinner from Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) Varun Chakravarthy earned a whopping Rs 8.4 cr each in the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, being the costliest buy among the players so far here on Tuesday.
Kings XI Punjab bought England’s Sam Curran for Rs 7.2 crore surpassing South Africa’s Colin Ingram’s price of Rs 6.4 crore to become the most expensive overseas buy in the auction here. Indian fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat was among the top buys after he was bought for Rs 8.4 cr by the Rajasthan Royals here at the auction while Varun Chakaravarthy is an architect turned cricket player performed well for Tamil Nadu Premier League and Anil Kumble fan emerges the most expensive buy among uncapped players fetching a whopping 8.4 cr bought by Kings XI Punjab.
Varun is the joint-most expensive in the auction so far. From his base price of Rs 20 lakh to being sold for whopping Rs 8.4 cr. Rajashtan Royals had bought Jaydev Unadkat in the previous edition of the IPL for a whopping 11.5 cr. (AGENCIES)
