Kathua: A special team constituted on the direction Jammu and Kashmir High court visited Adhayatmik University Kathua centre run by alleged rapist Varinder Dixit against whom CBI had filed charges of rape, criminal intimidation and wrongful confinement of a female at his ashram in Delhi early this year.
Varinder is still absconding.
The team was led by AAG Seema Shekhar and Dr Kavita suri member f J&K state Women commission
Even the inspection team was not allowed easy entry into Asharam. Five girls from Dayalachak and Hiranagar are enrolled in the ashram for “spiritual education” but only one girl was present. There was no information about the other four girls.
The absconder Varinder Dixit had reportedly visited in this ashram earlier.
The committee was constituted after a PIL was filed by Dogra Sanghthan . The AAG would be submitted report to the court shortly
