At least 10 people died and around a dozen were injured in separate road accidents in Pilibhit and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh early Friday, police said.
In Pilibhit, a car carrying 11 passengers crashed into a tree under Neoria Police Station limits, killing five passengers, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Avinash Kumar Pandey.
“The victims, from Khatima in Uttarakhand, were returning from a wedding in a Maruti Ertiga when the car apparently lost control and struck a roadside tree,” Pandey said.
