The recent monsoon rains have caused severe hardship for the residents of Ward 20 Swail Village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur as area was inundated and crops like Maize , Bajara (pearl millet) were destroyed. Locals said every year during monsoon their area gets submerged and despite repeated reminders to the authorities to undertake necessary measures nothing has been done.
