A home in Ganptaiyar locality in Srinagar city, Jammu and Kashmir, where celebrations and preparation for the marriage of owner’s daughter were in full swing was completely damaged in fire apparently due to short circuit. The locals say cash, gold and other items the family had arranged for the marriage were gutted in fire. The loss is estimated to be worth Rs 25 lakh.
