Militants shot dead a retired Superintendent of Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district in early hours on Sunday. Police identified the retired officer as Mohammad Shafi, who was fired upon at Gantmulla while praying Azan in the mosque. He succumbed to his injuries, police said. The area has been cordoned off to nab the culprits responsible for the attack.
