President Droupadi Murmu in her address to joint session of parliament expressed gratitude to voters and Election Commission for successful conduct of elections. He said in J&K decades-long records of voting have been broken in J&K and for the past 4 decades, Kashmir witnessed low voting amid shutdowns and strikes. But this time it has changed.
