The body of a man who jumped into the river allegedly after being stoned yesterday while extracting sand was fished out from the river Jehlum today. Yesterday, a man identified as Muhammad Amin Thakroo, son of Muhammad Jabbar Thakroo of Gadiseer Bijbehara had jumped into river Jhelum and drowned when some persons allegedly pelted stones upon him while he was extracting sand.
