MoS PMO said modi govt highly sensitive to specially abled persons. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment facilitates the empowerment of persons with disabilities, whose population as per Census 2011 is 2.68 crore and constitutes 2.21 percent of the total population of the country. Persons with disabilities include visually impaired, hearing impaired, speech impaired, orthopedically handicapped and mentally handicapped person are being given special care and incentives.
