In the midst of heavy snowfall in North Kashmir’s Kupwara District, army rescued a pregnant woman stuck in remote snowbound area. Following a distress call from SHO Vilgam and Mushtaq Ahmed Gagi, the husband of Safoora Begum, the Army Camp’s rescue team and medics from Kakrosa undertook a challenging journey of 7-8 km through 2 to 3 feet of snow in the middle of the night. Despite the treacherous conditions, they successfully reached the location, ensuring the safe evacuation of the pregnant woman to PHC Vilgam
