Jammu: Ware House Traders Protest Against 5% GST On Essential Food Items

Traders in Jammu protested against the GST Council decision that pre-packed and labelled food items (except frozen) such as meat, fish, curd, paneer and honey will now attract a 5 percent GST. Unbranded items like flour and rice will also attract a 5 percent GST if they are pre-packaged and labelled. At present, only branded versions of these items attract 5 percent GST.
