Srinagar, Mar 14: Jamiat-e-Ahle-Hadith Vice President Moulvi Mushtaq Veeri has been booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to a Jammu Jail.
Official sources said that Veeri, who was arrested on February 23 from his residence, has now been booked under the PSA and shifted to a jail in Jammu.
Veeri, besides about 200 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) and different separatist groups, were arrested by security forces, following a fidayeen attack on a CRPF convoy that left 44 jawans dead on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on February 14. The Centre has also banned the JeI for five years (agencies)
