The decade of nineties can be termed as era of gangsters and organised crime in Jammu when gang wars, killings, encounters and ransom by the top criminals was a routine matter. All these gangsters were either killed in inter-gang rivalry or Police encounter. Latest in the series was recent murder of Mohan Dogra, who was accused of killing notorious Don Bakra in 2008.
