An IED was detected and defused in Doda Ghat road. Police said today.
Late evening police got information related to a suspicious polythene bag on Doda Ghat road. Later police SOG CRPF & indian army has been deployed and investigation was started.
While Bomb disposal squard was called and they defused the IED safely, said SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom.
A major tragedy has been averted by the timely diffusion of the IED, he added.
Moreover, SSP Doda said that police in on high alert all police nakas has on alert. Investigation into this matter has started by the police.
