Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Rahul Rasgotra, visited the forward post in at Galwan, Leh, at an altitude of about 14,200 feet on the occasion of 78th Independence Day . He hoisted the national flag there. In June 2020, Indian and Chinese army personnel had clashed at Galwan in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred.
