BJP MLA Ravinder Raina said anti-nationals on directions of the Pakistan had instigated stone pelting and violence in the Shopian. He said anti-nationals elements pelted stones at army convoy and then tried to snatch weapons after the army had to take some measure.
On 27Jan18 an army aconvoy was passing through Ganaupura chowk in Shopian was attacked by a group of 100-120 stone pelters.
A junior commissioned officer accompanying the convoy got hit on the head and fell unconscious and mob tried to lynch the individual and snatch his weapon.
the army fired in self-defence and two civilians succumbed to the bullet injuries.
