In last three decades of militancy there have been numerous incidents where J&K government officials were suspended for carrying out anti-national activities. In April 1993, J&K police personnel staged revolt against alleged custodial killings. 130 were suspended but were reinstated. Government is now showing resolve to weed out these subversive elements.
