Surya Saptami, the birthday of Sun God was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety. In this connection grand functions were held at Sun Temple Martand (Mattan ) in South Kashmir district of Anantnag. Maha Yagya was performed which concluded with Puranahuti . Devotees were giving prashad.
