The door to door collection process of segregated waste started on contract basis by urban local bodies was opposed by the Safai Karamcharis alleging that it will slowly sideline them from their job as the private contracting bodies will hijack their works whereas the officials in ULBs say that it is the decision taken by higher authorities so they have no other option but to implement it on ground.
