The establishment of the Jammu Railway Division has been welcomed by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry president and also by local traders, who believe it will significantly enhance the region’s economy. They highlighted the potential for improved trade, tourism, and connectivity, fostering overall development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday virtually inaugurated the newly created Jammu railway division and said it will not only benefit Jammu and Kashmir but also Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Ladakh.
