A 36-year-old patient, Ab Hamid Sofi, a father of three sons and daughters from Arampora, Kupwara died at Associate Hospital GMC Handwara. His family have accused the hospital staff of medical negligence. Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital has rejected the claims, calling them baseless. The Medical Superintendent stated that doctors and medical personnel were available and provided the necessary treatment. The hospital administration is reportedly investigating the incident to clarify the circumstances surrounding the patient’s death.
