Mohd Yaseen, managing director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has appealed the people to avail benefit of PM Surya Ghar Yojana which he said will make power consumption literally “free”. Yaseen said 65% subsidy is being given by the government to install solar panels, which is highest in any government scheme. The rest of cost can be paid in instalments by the consumer to bank for which arrangement has already been made. It will not only substantially reduce power bill but one can earn also as power, which is being generated continuously, if not consumed, will be continue to be supplied to the grid but it will reimbursed financially as adjustment in subsequent bills.
