On the 115th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, “Many of our school children are very interested in calligraphy. Through this, our handwriting remains clean, beautiful and attractive. Today it is being used in Jammu and Kashmir to popularise local culture. Firdousa Bashir from Anantnag is skilled in calligraphy. Through this, she showcases various aspects of the local culture. Firdousa’s calligraphy has attracted the attention of local people, especially the youth. PM Modi said a  similar effort is being made by Gori Nath from Udhampur. With a Sarangi that is over a century old, he preserves different forms of Dogra culture and heritage. Through the melodies of the sarangi, he narrates ancient stories and historical events related to the culture in an engaging manner..
