A total of 142 polling booths are being readied under the Mendhar sub-division, with special focus on security arrangements at sensitive locations, especially near the India-Pakistan Line of Control (LoC). Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of Mendhar, Rahul Basotra, provided detailed insights into the ongoing preparations. Out of the 142 polling booths, 94 have been declared sensitive, while 6 booths are located beyond the LoC, requiring heightened vigilance and security.
