Jammu police on Wednesday night nabbed a self- proclaimed ‘educationist activist’ in an alleged extortion case from a bus stand area here. Police said that acting swiftly on a complaint that the accused identified as Amit Kapoor demanded Rs 5 lakh as extortion amount from the complainant, a police team laid a trap and nabbed him from the Bus Stand area. “He was caught red-handed with a tainted amount of Rs 5 lakhs recovered from his possession,” said police.
