Vice-President said people of India never imagined that Article 370 would ever be revoked. He said the provision in the Indian Constitution, termed ‘temporary,’ had become a thorn for us. He said today is a remarkable day because that provision is no longer part of our nation’s laws. He extended congratulations to the executive, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the legislature, the members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and the judiciary. Addressing a function at Kathua, he said together, they have removed Article 370 from Constitution and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s dream has been completely realized.”
