Vinod Sharma a young farmer from Thalora village, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur, is a classic example of self-sustaining young entrepreneurs who create jobs instead of applying for them. In 2021, he started strawberry cultivation and reaped handsome profits. This year, he has increased his operation to nine kanals of land where a bumper crop of strawberries is thriving. He’s now selling strawberries at Rs. 50 per 250-gram packet, charging more than the previous seasons and expecting handsome returns.
