J&K Police has registered a case after a shrine and a mosque in South Kashmir’s Tral area of Pulwama district was allegedly desecrated by unknown miscreants. Police suspect that this was done by miscreants to foment trouble and disturb peace and order. Police said last night, some miscreants attempted to disrespect the local shrine and a mosque in Dadsara in Tral by damaging windowpanes and also tried displacing the Quran in a manner lacking respect. A case has been registered by police under relevant sections of law. A police statement said citizens be assured that the police is hunting the perpetrators and will nab them soon.
