Students of Government Middle School Frislana, Pahalgam, are forced to trek on snow for about 30-mt to reach school as snow has not been cleared till now.
Road leading to school, which lies along the Amarnath yatra route, is covered with heavy snow. Locals says while snow clearing machines are available near by but they are put to use for clearing other roads but are not concerned about children.
150 students are studying in the school. Local says it is being manned by only four teachers. Students say walking on snow is not only difficult and risky but it drains their energy and are not able to concentrate on studies.
