Abdul Latief resident of remote area in Mahore tehsil , district Reasi, is paralysed below the waist. His spinal chord was broken in accident in April this year. Unable to work and without any financial assistance from any quarter, the poverty has forced him to stop education of his two sons.
For last about two-week he is moving around the office of deputy commissioner Reasi. Though, DC Reasi seems sympathetic but he too is seemingly tied down with rules.
Abdul Latief is now living on by alms while hoping to get permanent financial aid. Even if it comes through the government assistance won’t be enough to sustain him. If lliteracy, poverty were not already enough for hard times, paralysis has only compounded the problems for him and not even a glimmer of hope insight.
