Holding Panchayat and urban bodies elections was tough challenge for the government more so to the security forces and state police. And, they lived upto the task .

But when it came to crediting one-month  additional salary  as announced by the government it is not police personnel but bureaucrats and their supporting staff who are first in the list to get it

The list prepared by GAD names 114 officials for release of salary which include names of

Principal Secretary, Home, RK Goyal, Financial Commissioner, Housing and Urban Develop-ment Department, KB Aggarwal, Rural Development Secretary, Sheetal Nanda.  it also

There was no word so far on the same incentive to police officers

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) had sent out reminders to all the Deputy Commissi-oners to certify and furnish to his office the list who have performed duty for payment of one-month salary to them.

The CEO’s office had set January 14 deadline.

While the CEO office was yet to receive the lists,the GAD has come out with a separate order carrying name of only three Administrative Secretaries and other officers/officials posted in their or other Sections in the Civil Secretariat.

The list includes Home Secretary, RK Goyal’s  Private Secretary, Stenographers, Orde-rly, Fireman, Water Carrier and five police personnel attached with the Home Department, some of whom were engaged as PSOs,

Sheetal Nanda’s Private Secretary, Dispatcher, CIC Operator, four Orderlies, two drivers and two PSOs were among the officials of her office,

KB Aggarwal’s PA, three drivers in his office, one Summon Server, one Orderly and three PSO, will also get one month additional salary for conduct of Panchayat and Municipal elections.

In the Personal Section of the Chief Secretary, his Private Secretary, two PAs, three Daftaris, one Orderly, three Class-IV and Jamadar have also been included in the GAD’s list for payment of one month salary.
