The opposition members protested and staged a walkout in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Thursday over alleged abduction and killing of minor girl from Gujjar community in Kathua district, Jammu.
Parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rehman Veeri in statement in the Assembly said an 8-year-old girl named Asifa had gone missing on January 8, 2018. He said her dead body was found at around 10:30 am in forest area of Kathua which led to protests by Bakerwal community.
The minister said that speedy investigation has been initiated . NC MLA Mian Altaf, however, demanded that investigation be done within in stipulated time frame.
