Polling is going on smoothly in all 11 districts of the state in the second phase of urban local bodies election. In Jammu region brisk voting is taking place in all six districts. Till 12 pm, that’s half-way into the election time, Kathua has registered 59% voting, Ramban 58% and Kishtwar 54%.
However, in 5 districts of Kashmir, till 10 am, not much voting has been noticed . The highest polling 12 percennt was registered in Bandipora while in the rest of the 4 districts the voting has been less than double digit with Anantnag registering just 0.6% percent polling in first 4 hours.
