Muncipial Polls: BJP holds ground in Jammu, blooms in Kashmir, sinks in Ladakh

In the urban local bodie elections of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP was clear winner in the Jammu region. The party had great run in the Kashmir region while its performance was below par in the Ladakh region.

In 487 wards of the Jammu region, BJP won 212 while Cong secured 110 seats. BJP  won clear control of the crucial Jammu Municipal Corporation. In Kashmir region, BJP won 97 while Cong secured victory in 153 wards including the Ladakh region.,

In both Leh and Kargil district, BJP drew blank while Congress had clean sweep in Leh district.
