Two persons were killed and three others were injured this evening when a mini bus they were travelling in plunged into Ranbir Canal at Purkhoo area in the city outskirts. Police sources informed that ill fated mini-bus bearing registration number JK02BD-7927 was on its way from Jammu to Mishriwala when the mishap took place near Purkhoo falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanha Chack. Eye-witnesses informed that police and locals immediately swung into action and started the rescue operation and shifted the injured to GMC Hospital Jammu.
