India women hockey is on the rise. Indian women won silver medal in hockey event in the Asian Games held in Japan.
The success has attracted many young girls in Jammu to this sport. Coming from underprivileged section of society, they travel about 4-km to reach practice ground.
It’s the love for the game which pull them to the ground despite many odds. the coaches and players things have improved over last few years but much more needs to the done. The girl say studying an having proper diet is financially not possible and government should offer more financial assistance and if possible daily practice allow too as this govt believes in “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”
