The newly appointed Divisional Commissioner of Ladakh division was stopped from entering Kargil. People of Kargil demanding rotational headquarters against basing them in Leh are holding widespread protests. Protesters gathered about 40-km from Kargil town and stopped SSP and DC Kargil from receiving the new divisional commissioner . Governor Satya Pal said a committee of secretaries has been appointed to look into this issue of the Kargil.
