Indian Army saved the life of a pregnant woman by timely evacuation amid heavy snow in Kalaroos, Kupwara. On 29 Dec 2022 Army conducted an emergency evacuation of a pregnant woman Nasesm Kham w/o Mr. Mohd Rafiq Khan from Damni village, in Nunwani Panchayat of Kalaroos Block to the primary health care (PHC) center in Kalaroos despite heavy snowfall. Due to heavy snowfall roads were completely blocked and civil ambulance couldn’t reach the place . The lady delivered a baby girl in the hospital.
