Enforcement Directorate today questioned National Conference president Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar in connection with  the multi-crore Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam case.

He was called for questioning at ED office in Srinagar where he reached at about 10.15.   Farooq Abdullahd had recently some controversial statements. He had said that people in Kashmir would like to be governed by China and also that Art 370 will be restored with the help of China . A statement which was later denied   by NC, He had also chaired meeting  of the Gupkar declaration signatories attended by Mehbooba Mufti and said they will fight for restoration of constitutional status of J&K

Omar Abdullah in tweet termed the raid as political vendetta. Omar tweeted: “The party will be responding to this ED summons shortly. This is nothing less then political vendetta coming days after the formation of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration. To set the record straight no raids are being conducted at Dr Sahib’s residence.”
