Local Bodies elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in four phases from October 8.
The state Chief Election Officer (CEO) Shaleen Kabra announced on Saturday. The polling dates are October 8, 10, 13 and 16 and counting on October 20. Voting will take place from 7 am to 2 pm on the dates. With this, the Model Code of Conduct comes into force in the state.
, the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are boycotting the polls until the Centre clears its stand on Article 35-A. The Congress is yet to take decision on its participation.
