A JCB operator died by falling debris in Ramban along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. 22-yr-old Jamshed , resident of district Doda, was clearing the debris when boulders started rolling from the rock.
He jumped out of the machine but got seriously injured. Jamshed was taken to the Ransoo dispensary where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile the traffic along Jammu-Srinagar highway was resumed on Tuesday early morning after eight hours. This stretch is consistently witnessing traffic jams with vehicles stranded for hours
