Rescue operation is going on to rescue 8-10 police personnel who were trapped under the snow after an avalanche hit police post near Jawahar Tunnel of Distt Kulgam last evening.
The area around Tunnel is buried with 6-7 feet of snow. Locals accuse administration of not taking adequate measures for snow clearance and also to take care of them .
Rescue teams are finding it extremely difficult to reach the site as trekking on snow is quite exhausting.
