Jammu: Union finance minister Arun Jaitley said the Jammu and Kashmir is a challenging state to govern. He said governing the state requires determination, statesmanship, capacity to face criticism and yet be able to work effectively for peaceful society and see that regions develop.
Addressing convocation function of the Jammu University Sunday he said at times when India is a bright spot of world economy the Jammu and Kashmir should have been most affluent part of the country but unfortunately curse of insurgency struck us
He said the most impressive delegation which he had interacted during frequent trips to valley has been that of students of university .
Jaitley said to live amidst disturbed environment and yet be able to academically excel is unprecedented resilient which young population of state has been able to to demonstrate
He said it’s quite likely and ultimately this resilience probably end up in bringing peace to the state what is the ultimate objective
