Infantry Day celebrated by Northern Command

72nd  Infantry day was celebrated  today with a traditional wreath laying ceremony

GOC-IN-C, Northern Command , commended the efforts of officers and jawans in maintaining the sanctity of the sborders and fighting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Infantry day is celebrated to commemorate the operations launched by the Indian Army on 27 October 1947 to thwart the Pakistani aggression in Jammu and Kashmir.

The day is remembered to  salute the sacrifices made by the Indian Army in defending the nation
