IAS officer from Kashmir Shah Faesal has resigned. Faesal the first Kashmiri to top IAS tweeted his decision to resign. NC vice-president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah in a tweet welcomed him into the political fold.
There are speculation and unverified reports suggesting that he will contest parliamentary polls on National Conference ticket but there has not been any official confirmation
Omar in another tweet wrote it’s for Faesal to announce his political plans.
Feasal in detailed post on his facebook spelling out the reason for resignation cited that not sincere efforts are being made to reach-out to Kashmir by the Union government. He also mentioned that there is growing culture of intolerance and hate in the mainland India in the name of hypernationalism,
Faesal wrote that subversion of public institutions like RBI, CBI and NIA has the potential to decimate the Constitutional edifice of this Country and it needs to be stopped. Shah Faesal will address press conference on Friday .
