Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar to review the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir,
Beside chairing a high-level security review meeting, the Minister would also be interacting with some political delegations.
He would meet Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhawan along with senior officials from civil administration, police and security forces and assess the prevailing situation in the state.
This is Rajnath Singh’s first visit to the Kashmir Valley after governor’s rule was imposed here in June
Blast inside army camp in Poonch; no casualties
A blast took place inside an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said. There were no casualties.
The explosion occurred inside the 93rd brigade headquarters at Moti Mahal in the border district around 10.45 am.
Jammu-based Army spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand. said It has nothing to do with cross-border shelling (from Pakistan),” said
The blast occurred in an unmanned shelter inside the camp . Locals however say it’s it seems that shell was fired from across the border.
