The April heat in North-West India set a record of 122 years and now the heat of May will be further scorching. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that severe heatwave will continue over North-West, West and Central India and most parts will receive above normal rainfall. The third heatwave since March was the longest dry period of nearly 65 days since February 25.
