Many parts of the Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing a fresh spell of wet weather with higher reaches receiving heavy snowfall and plains lashed by a mix of rain and snow.
Snowfall was recorded in all districts of the Kashmir valley while in Jammu division higher reaches also received fresh snowfall.
The heavy snowfall has forced large number of people to stay indoors while traffic in the city and other towns of the valley is moving at a snail’s pace due to slippery roads.
Electricity transmission lines have been damaged due to the heavy snowfall forcing the Power Development Department to snap the electricity supply in affected areas.
