The fresh snowfall has triggered extreme cold wave in Doda and adjoining areas. An abrupt change in the temperature due to rains and snowfall made people stay indoors. Heavy snowfall was experienced in upper reaches of Kishtwar ,Doda and Ramban. However,the Doda, Kishtwar,Batote highway remained clear for vehicular movement. People have also appealed the government to arrange the essential commodities in advance so that people may not suffer due to heavy snowfall .
